Since its beginning in 1967, the Contemporary Historical Vehicle Association (CHVA) has encouraged a family atmosphere. We love to tour and have fun, and we sometimes show the automobiles that we love so much.
Regional clubs have monthly tours, outings, and have fostered lifelong friendships between families who might never have met were it not for CHVA.
Our CHVA founders felt the need for one organization to represent all marquees, all commercial, military, motorcycles and anything built for highway use from 1928 thru 1980.
The Redwood Region was organized and chartered by the CHVA in June, 1971, and we are proud to have one of the largest and most active regional clubs. While activities of the club have changed through the years, we have not lost the direction of the club which is “Touring with old cars in the common spirit of fellowship.” Many of our members also belong to single marque clubs, but that is why we are CHVA, we love them all.
